No sour grapes, says landowner

THE QUESTION of sour grapes does not arise in relation to the upcoming hotel along Sea Rocks, Enterprise, Christ Church, says chairman of Sunbuilders Inc, Trevor Kent.

In response to the article entitled New Twist To Hotel Furore which appeared on Page 6 of the October 14 WEEKEND NATION, Kent said the investors were misleading the public.

“I was not acting out of malice and I am not alone. From the beginning everyone has been made aware that if this hotel went through, we [Kent and his wife] would find it difficult to live here and that we would therefore offer our property to the developers. I wanted to get out in the easiest possible way . . . and they responded,” he said.

Kent showed the team a letter signed by general manager of Accra Hotel, Suresh Monickoraja. . . (CA)
