CITY OF BRIDGETOWN brushed aside Christ Church West 5-1 when the David Thompson Memorial Constituency Councils’ Football Classic continued at Dover on Saturday night.

The lads from Bridgetown ran out comfortable winners on the back of a brace from the influential Dwayne “Squillaci” Stanford.

The other game saw Christ Church South continue their good form to see off St Philip North 2-0. Captain Armando “Suga” Lashley bagged both goals to follow up his hat-trick the previous week.

City of Bridgetown began the scoring as early as the 16th minute. Stanford collected a ball in midfield and drove towards the 18-yard box before unleashing a left-foot shot which beat Christ Church West goalkeeper Tyreese Alleyne at the near post.  (ML)
