QUEEN’S PARK looks a bit more vibrant today thanks to the refurbishment efforts of CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank.

The refurbishment efforts which began in May were unveiled during a press conference on Friday.

It was attended by bank officials as well as general manager of the National Conservation Commission Keith Neblett.

Minister of Environment and Drainage Denis Lowe thanked the bank.

“There are a lot of corporate institutions in Barbados that really do not find the time or the resources to contribute to the National development… .This is a unique space for Barbados and this injection of development through refurbishment is an important response to a historic site,” he said.

The work done included the painting of the playground and wall as well as the installation of new benches and 13 signs. (TG)
