BARBADIANS who cannot wait until November 30 to celebrate the nation’s jubilee can head down to The City on Saturday to take part in a float parade in tribute to the Father of Independence.

Co-founder of the non-profit organisation Unies International, Undine Rouse, said it was important to remember the Right Excellent Errol Walton Barrow during the celebrations to mark 50 years of Independence.

“We are trying to portray a true image of him and his legacy on November 5,” she said during a recent press conference at Divi Southwinds to announce the plan.

“Therefore we are asking the public, corporate Barbados and members of political parties to join us on this venture and make it a success. I want us to come together and let the world see what Barbados can do in appreciation of the legacy of Barrow. (SB)
