Not all business for BLP family

IT WASN’T ALL about politicking at the start of the Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) annual conference on Friday night, but plenty of partying as well.

Before the more serious business got under way, BLP stalwarts, including leader Mia Mottley, former deputy prime minister Dame Billie Miller as well as former Government minister and St Joseph MP Sir Richard “Johnny” Cheltenham, were among those feasting, feting, mixing and mingling at a cocktail reception and awards ceremony held at the Lester Vaughan School in Cane Garden, St Thomas.

Under the theme Focused and Ready, the evening was also used as an affair to celebrate many of the party faithful and thank them for their loyal service. (SDB Media/YB)
