Daran’s survival

JUST OVER two months ago, Daran Taylor’s skull was shattered by a stray bullet while attending a promotional jam in Wotton, Christ Church.

Initially, doctors didn’t give him much chance of surviving.

However, his mother Maria Taylor didn’t give up hope, never leaving his side throughout the frightening ordeal that left her 16-year-old son fighting for his life at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).

Two days after he was admitted to the QEH in critical condition, his aunt Gail-Ann Taylor told the WEEKEND NATION, “The doctors were saying that there was nothing they could do for him because the bullet had shattered his skull and brain…” (RB)
