Remembrance Day Parade is November 13

BARBADOS WILL REMEMBER its servicemen, who lost their lives during World Wars I and II, on Sunday, November 13, with the customary Remembrance Day Parade and a short inter-denominational service at the Cenotaph, National Heroes Square. The ceremony begins at 8 a.m.

Several armed and unarmed uniformed groups will be on parade, including the Barbados Regiment, the Royal Barbados Police Force, the Barbados Cadet Corps, the Barbados Legion, the Barbados Fire Service, the Barbados Prison Service, the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides Associations, the St John Ambulance Association of Barbados and the Barbados Red Cross Association.

Governor General, Sir Elliott Belgrave; Prime Minister Freundel Stuart; Chief Justice, Sir Marston Gibson; Leader of the Opposition, Mia Mottley; members of the diplomatic corps and other dignitaries are expected to lay wreaths at the war memorial.

A full dress rehearsal for the parade will be held this Sunday, November 6, also beginning at a.m. (BGIS)
