‘Horning’ jab leads to blow

THOUGH HE SAW “trouble set up like rain”, Shurland Decourcey Clarke continued to “flirt with danger”.

Yesterday he had to pay the court $350 after pleading guilty to assaulting a man he once considered a friend.

Clarke, 43, of Breedy’s Gardens, Silver Sands, Christ Church, appeared before Magistrate Alliston Seale yesterday on the November 2 assault charge against Trevor Ellis.

The prosecution told the Oistins Court that Clarke and Ellis were friends but that ended after a dispute over a female.

They often clashed when they saw each other and on the date of the offence, after a dispute over a game of dominoes, Clarke punched Ellis in the face. (TKS)
