FIFTEEN THOUSAND for the 50th.

That’s the number of visitors the chairman of Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., Alvin Jemmott, estimates will be in Barbados between November 25 and December 3, for the island’s golden jubilee bash.

And with new flights also expected into Barbados this month, the numbers could actually improve, Jemmott told the SUNDAY SUN. “There is still airlift capacity available,” he said.

“There’s a new JetBlue flight starting out of New Jersey on November 19.”

But not only visitors from North America will be in for this month’s 50th Anniversary of Independence celebrations. (LT)
