RESIDENTS OF INCH MARLOW Christ Church are bitterly upset over an underground pipe which has been leaking for more than three months.

Yesterday evening, a householder said it was causing her to lose business as a hairdresser because no one wanted to pass the water logged track.

The woman, who did not want her identity revealed, said her grandmother and other residents made numerous calls to the Barbados Water Authority (BWA). However, she said, when workmen arrived recently they were told by one of the men, ‘That is not our problem’.

“We would like to have this fixed as soon as possible,” she told NATION ONLINE.

The flowing water has spread to nearby crops and is posing a problem for some drivers.

Efforts to reach the BWA’s communication specialist Joy-Ann Haigh have proved futile. (MR)
