MEMBERS OF THE Christian community launched an attack on the LGBT movement and same-sex marriages as they held The Barbados Rally at the Bay Street Esplanade on Sunday night.

Under the theme Family, Faith And Freedom, the event brought together anti-LGBT activist Dr Judith Reisman and former lesbian turned Christian Rev. Charlene Cothran, as well as local speakers.

The session included ministry in song, dance and spoken word. Among those in attendance were Minister of Social Care Steve Blackett and Government Senator Rev. Dr David Durant.

Hundreds, many dressed in the island’s national colours, filled the chairs at the Esplanade, ringed its perimeter and spilled over to Government Headquarters for the more than three-hour event. (HLE)
