Daniel man of the night

IT TOOK the mastery of Antonio “Lil Man” Daniel to wake up the spectators with his array of shots when the City of Bridgetown Credit Union World Road Tennis Championship continued on Thursday night at the Springer Memorial School.

On a night when the Masters, Open Men, Juniors and International categories took to the court, Daniel’s exciting nightcap dismissal of Gary “Kojak” Thomas broke the dullness of the predictable outcomes where just two of 13 matches ended in one-sided results.

Daniel took the game 21-17, 21-18, advancing to meet Kerry “TC” Francis last night. The emotionless Thomas did not allow Daniel to hog the show as he also defended and counter-attacked, which thrilled the small crowd on hand while showing the visitors “real” road tennis.
