Too many ‘moving away from God’

YET ANOTHER MEMBER of the clergy has condemned same-sex relations, even as he complained about dwindling congregations while lamenting that God was being replaced by Facebook.

Just as worrisome for Pastor Danforth Francis, of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, was that religious freedom was being threatened in some sections of society, though he made it clear that this right had been protected by the Freundel Stuart administration.

The president of the East Caribbean Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists delivered the remarks in a sermon on Sunday afternoon during the church service of the ruling Democratic Labour Party to celebrate Barbados’ Independence.

He made specific mention of those who were engaged in alternative lifestyles and had been coming out about their sexuality. (WILLCOMM)
