CLAIMS OF SABOTAGE at the Combermere School are not squaring with timelines, says president of the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU) Mary Redman.
Her comments came after Thursday’s meeting at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic with Combermere School officials, including principal Vere Parris, various ministry officials and parents and guardians.
The union was not invited but Redman referred to Parris’ reported comments that there had been tampering with manhole covers at the school which was discovered after October 7.
But Redman explained that could not be the explanation for the environmental issues at the school as complaints to the ministry predated this revelation by at least a month. (AD)
