IT’S BETTER TO BE SAFE than sorry.
That advice to Government has come from the chief executive officer of the Heart and Stroke Foundation ahead of a free concert to celebrate the country’s 50th anniversary of Independence.
Gina Pitts wants to see Government establish a mass casualty preparation team specifically for the Golden Anniversary Mega Concert, scheduled to be held Wednesday night at Kensington Oval.
The concert, to be headlined by an appearance from Barbados’ own mega star Rihanna, is expected to attract between 10 000 and 20 000 people at the historic cricketing venue.
And that’s what has Pitts worried.
