Link a ‘success’

EVEN IF THE numbers were missing, the excitement surrounding yesterday’s human chain link was not.

There was an undeniable buzz throughout the island as thousands of Barbadians and tourists, from all walks of life, joined hands for the second ever human chain link initiative.

The excitement and glee could be seen especially on the faces of schoolchildren, who were regularly pictured with broad smiles etched across their faces.

Most of the other persons who gathered on the roads stretchingfrom St Lucy in the north to St Philip in the east donned blue, yellow and black clothing – representing the island’s national colours – proudly portraying their patriotism. (RB)
