Client finally released on bail

Date:

THE LIBERTY OF A PERSON who is granted bail should be paramount, a lawyer said yesterday, and he called on those involved to work together to speed up the process.

Mohia Ma’at made the comments after his client, Ronald Alexander White, finally walked out of the Supreme Court yesterday after a long delay.

White, 44, of Husbands New Development, St Michael, was first granted bail more than a year ago but remained imprisoned after consistent requests were made by the Supreme Court Registry for additional documentation.

Thankful for his client’s release, his lawyer said he hoped the case would act as a “catalyst” for those involved to “sit down and say we can do this fast and more efficiently”. (TKS)
