ALMOST A WEEK after she was robbed, Kelly Johnally remains angry.
Angry at the act, angry at how young the perpetrators were and angry at what she thought was the flippant attitude of law enforcement. However, the one bright spot was the selfless act of a colleaugue, whose efforts resulted in the return of her property.
Johnally, the digital manager for the Nation Corporation, was on her way to the Hennessy Artistry show at Kensington Oval on Saturday night when the incident occurred.
“Starcom was a title sponsor so I was going to do some stuff for them. Around 9:45 p.m. I left the NATION’s parking lot and began walking along the sidewalk towards the Oval.
“I had just passed the Nation building when I saw two young men, who looked no more than 16, walking in my direction. As we passed each other, one bumped into me, grabbed my handbag, popping the strap and causing me to stumble into the road.” (CA)
