GOVERNMENT YESTERDAY CLEARED a major hurdle to establish 555 public sector posts that are now temporary.
This came with the passage of a resolution in the House of Assembly of the Public Service (General) Order, 2016 which replaces the one of 2008.
In bringing the resolution to the House, Prime Minister and Minister of the Public Service Freundel Stuart praised public servants for contributing to the stability of Barbados over the last 50 years.
He said the country’s Independence story would not have been as successful otherwise.(WILLCOMM)
