TWO CHARGES brought against Andre “Lord Evil” Jackman were dismissed after the complainants dropped the charges
The matters related to an assault against a woman and damage of property at Club Rehab.
However, Prosecutor Station Sergeant Neville Reid objected to bail for a third charge related to unlawful violence.
Attorney for the accused Andrew Pilgrim successfully argued for bail for his client who he said was often “portrayed as a dangerous creature”.
In his making his submission before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in District A Criminal Court No. 1 today, Pilgrim said Jackman, who is unemployed, received an inordinate amount of press, often being followed everywhere he went.
Jackman, 37, of Stroud Bay, Crab Hill, St Lucy, was released on $5 000 bail on the charge of unlawful violence.
The incident reportedly occurred during a bachelor party at Club Rehab. Jackman is soon to be married. (TKS)
