HUNDREDS OF CHILDREN and their parents packed the grounds of Ball Park, Newton, Christ Church, on Sunday for what was billed as a Christmas To Remember.

One of the organisers, Rudy Archer, said it was the first in a series of Christmas events they intended to put on for the children.

“It is really for families to come together and . . . have a good time in a safe environment. We had over 2 500 people on Saturday and Sunday. We have a magic show, children singing carols, dancing and there are rooms with Santa Claus and Mrs Claus, Disney characters and the other famous characters,” he explained.

With fun activities such as face painting, train rides and jumping tents, it was certainly a Christmas to remember for the children. (RL)
