NEWLY CROWNED CHAMPIONS National Sports Council (NSC) women continued with their unbeaten streak, romping to a 10-0 win over Technique Football Club as the Barbados Football Association’s Women’s League continued at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex on Sunday.

Patrina Brathwaite was the first off the block scoring in the fourth minute, then Jalisa Callender scored ten minutes later, and Tianna Hackett put one in the back of the net one minute later.

Technique women could not stop their opponents, and Kimberly Ellis scored in the 20th minute, while Shanice Stevenson buried a goal in the next.

After a 26-minute lull during which Technique tried fruitlessly to score at least one goal from a number of attempts, Stevenson scored again in the 47th minute, and Kimberly Ellis gave the team another goal in the 48th.

The NSC continued their impressive knock and finished the game with Callender again scoring in the 54th minute, Ellis in the 89th and Kamillah Burke the final goal of the match in the 75th minute.

In another match, Mavericks Women beat Kick Start Genesis 3-0. Felicia Jarvis netted the first goal two minutes into the game, and then again in the 30th minute. The final goal was scored by Asha Stevenson in the 39th minute.

In the final match of the evening, Pinelands Women and UWI Women FC drew 1-1. Khelsee Gopaul secured the first goal for UWI in the second minute, while Tiana Bynoe replied in the 32nd minute. (RA)
