THE SONG, performed by Perry Como in 1954, is the perfect way to describe the feelings of some of the returning nationals, primarily from North America, who came back to Barbados for the Christmas season.

The SATURDAY SUN caught up with some returnees at the Grantley Adams International Airport yesterday as they shared their stories of warmth and happiness.

“Barbados is the place to be for Christmas,” said Delores Hoyte, who lives in the United States. She said she has been returning home for the past 25 years.

“I love Barbados so much that I miss it and I make sure that each year I come back for Christmas; Christmas in New York is not like the Christmas in Bim.”
