Three injured in accident at Lancaster

POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING an accident which occurred around 1:10 p.m. today along Lancaster Main Road, St James. Three people were injured.

The crash involved a van with the registration number E444 driven by 26-year-old Samantha Skeete of Black Bess, St Peter and a car with registration number T5972 driven by 51-year-old Marvo Cyrus of Redman’s Village, St Thomas.

Cyrus had to be freed from her vehicle by personnel from the Barbados Fire Service. She complained of pain to both legs while her six-year-old grandson Zarian Cyrus received lacerations to the head and face.

They were both transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

Skeete complained of pain to her neck and opted to seek private medical attention. Her passenger 25-year-old Adam Steinbok of Pine Garden, St Michael was unhurt. (PR/NB)
