ST LUCIAN ALFRED Wayne Simeon will be spending two years in Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds after he was unable to play $15 000 in fines for cocaine-related offences.
The 40-year old pleaded guilty to four charges when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District “C” Magistrates’ Court today.
Simeon was arrested last Tuesday after he was found with one kilogramme of cocaine at the Grantley Adams International Airport and later passed out 185 grammes of the drug at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
He was fined $10 000 forthwith or two years in prison for unlawful possession of cocaine, and $5 000 forthwith or two years in prison to run concurrently for importation of cocaine.
He was convicted, reprimanded, and discharged on the offences of possession with intent to supply and trafficking. (PR/NB)
