PSV owners not jumping at offer

THANK YOU, but no.

That polite refusal is coming from owners and operators of public transport vehicles to the announcement by Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley that provisions are being made to allow minibuses, tour coaches and other private vehicles to enter bus terminals at peak times to transport passengers on select routes.

It appears as though all are not on board with the plan to address the current bus shortage, which Lashley wants to roll out by the end of the Christmas holidays.

Chairman of the Alliance Owners of Public Transport Inc., Roy Raphael, said the initiative “will not go down very well with operators”.  (YB)
