TIMOTHY THOMAS is charging that two separate acts of police brutality have ruined his family’s Christmas holiday in Barbados.

In the space of 24 hours, Thomas, a Barbadian living in England for the past six years, has had to deal with being locked up in a cell and having his family “assaulted” by police officers.

The 43-year-old told the WEEKEND NATION that while he was upset at being held in custody for no apparent reason, he was livid because police officers had kicked down his door and put a gun to the head of his sickly 15-year-old son.

Thomas said he felt the traumatic ordeal he and his family had been through was as a result of a 2002 court case. (RB)
