Concert lacked spark

CHRISTMAS WITH G-SYNDICATE was just the gift that some people attending were hoping for.

For others, the concert held recently at the Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination, was described as “okay”, “not bad”, a “pleasant evening out”.

While the show, featuring the main act G-Syndicate, was good during the second half, it lacked the spark and dynamism of their Get Syndicated: A Vocal Encounter concert in June. Their performance was its usual high quality but something was missing that was evident in the previous performances this writer attended.

Derek Marshall, Taurean Knight, Khiomal Nurse, Brett Linton, Marc Sealy, and Antonio Edwards make up the six-member a cappella group, who delighted by singing an harmonising some of the Christmas favourite classics and carols – you know, those songs that without a doubt put you in a festive mood. (GBM)
