Update: Christ Church man is latest road fatality

POLICE ARE CONTINUING investigations into a road fatality which occurred around 9:15 p.m. yesterday along the Graeme Hall Section of the ABC Highway. 

Dead is 25-year-old Daniel Sylvester Louis of Silver Hill Drive, Christ Church.  

The car he was driving was involved in a collision with a van driven by 50-year-old Kenneth Springer of Lowlands, Christ Church. 

Louis was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance but later succumbed to his injuries.  

Springer was travelling with his wife and four children between the ages of 6 and 15. 

He and four of his passengers all complained for pain about the body and were treated at the scene by the emergency medical technicians.  

Police appealed to anyone who may have witnessed this accident to contact the Oistins Police Station at telephone 418-2612 or 418-2608.  

They also reminded motorists of the importance of adhering to basic safety measures whilst behind the wheels of motor vehicles, and the significance of exercising the necessary due care and attention when using the highways and roadways. (PR/NB)
