MATTHEW FOSTER-ESTWICK’s possible selection has been endorsed by a Davis Cup captain.
Junior Davis Cup captain Paul Stewart believes Foster-Estwick has done enough to deserve a place on the senior squad, but said his selection should still come down to the philosophy of new coach Damien Applewhaite.
Stewart made the comment in an interview with WEEKENDSPORT just days after Foster-Estwick won the BTA Invitational without dropping a set.
“Matthew did what he had to do at trials and I think it will be hard to leave him out of the squad because he proved himself against everyone else that mattered,” said Stewart. (JM)
