THE 52-YEAR-OLD FISHERMAN charged in relation to the discovery of 152 kilogrammes of cannabis onboard a fishing boat has been remanded to prison.

Austin Leroy Small of 3rd Avenue, Eudalrick Drive, Chancery Lane North, Christ Church appeared in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court today accused of possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

He was granted bail by Magistrate Douglas Frederick but since he was unable to secure a surety, he was remanded to prison until January 31.

Small was arrested on December 29 after seven packages of cannabis were found in the ice box of a boat on which he was seen. (BN)
