A RESIDENT of Joe’s River, St Joseph, is calling for a professional assessment of the area because of the deterioration of the bridge in the district.
Community activist Andrew Dixon, who led a protest in front of the Barbados Water Authority lamenting the shortage of potable water last September, said he had been monitoring the bridge over the past five years and could not keep quiet about his observations.
“The crack was always there but now it has gotten worse, and that stone there dropped out,” Dixon said yesterday morning.
Not trying to create panic, the former Barbados Defence Force soldier said he would have to confirm if it was the keystone that was missing. (MR)
