A LOCAL CONGLOMERATE has donated ten benches to Parkinson Memorial Secondary School.

Representatives from Banks Holdings Limited (BHL) gathered outside the school’s Pine, St Michael hall this morning for the handover.

Principal Ian Holder, who took over as school head from Jeff Broomes last year, said he was grateful for the donation.

BHL’s manager of corporate affairs Sophia Cambridge said the donation fell under their Heritage, Environment, Learning and People (H.E.L.P.) programme.

“You are blessed and I am really pleased to present these benches,” she said.

A plaque has been placed near the benches indicating the area is a place of rest and relaxation. (MR)
