Term starts with few hiccups

THE NEW SCHOOL TERM appeared to have got off to a smooth start yesterday, at least in terms of transportation for students.

There were no large gatherings at bus stops along Highway 7, including one of the Transport Board hubs in Oistins, Christ Church just after 9 a.m. as is often the case.

Except for some students of the Grantley Adams Memorial Secondary School waiting in the Bathsheba line with other commuters in the Fairchild Street Terminal just before 10 a.m., and a few others at a bus stop outside of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on John Beckles Drive, few stragglers were seen out and about after the official 9 a.m. start of school.

It was a similar situation after school. (YB)
