THE Barbados Cricket Supplies Under-13 Tournament is moving to a new level.

Head of company, Leslie Reifer Jr, wants the annual tournament to take on more of an international look.

“It is my intention to take the Barbados Cricket Supplies Under-13 Competition to a fully oriented one-day competition as of 2018, whereby each team will be using coloured clothes along with white cricket balls,” he said.

Speaking during the opening ceremony for the tournament at the Chance Le Brasserie, Sunset Crest, St James, on Wednesday night, Reifer said that youth cricket played a major role in his development as an individual, giving him numerous opportunities, and he wanted the same for the young cricketers in the tournament.
