A NEW MAN takes over at the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) in a few weeks’ time and the union believes a new board should join him as well.

Keithroy Halliday, a Barbadian who was working as a general manager in Trinidad, is slated to take up the post of general manager from February 1. His new director of engineering is Charles Leslie, while Wayne Richards has been appointed as director of projects.

But, said general secretary of the Barbados Workers’ Union, Toni Moore, the same way there was a shake-up in management, the same should be done at the level of the board.

The union head, who was addressing the media, was speaking to the recent changes at the BWA which have seen Dr John Mwansa, Charles Marville and Stephen Lindo – the three men who were acting in the top three positions for at least five years – being replaced from month end. (HLE)
