DARIAN KING is taking it up another notch.
Apparently Challenger titles aren’t enough for 2017, as Barbados’ top-ranked tennis pro is looking to take a step up and contest more ATP 250 and 1000 events this season.
King’s coach and older brother Christopher revealed the plan for Darian to compete in at least four ATP 250 events and the Indian Wells ATP 1000 following another encouraging showing at the qualifying rounds of a Grand Slam.
“He’s playing at that level right now, so to compete he has to take the jump. So he will be mixing the Challengers with the big ATP events this year,” Christopher explained. (JM)
