ST PETER’S PARISH CHURCH is hoping that its annual Flower Show and Garden Festival will bloom and become a staple for tourists.

Canon Peter Haynes, rector at the Speightstown church, said they were hoping to partner with one of the major tourism players to ensure that his dream sprouted.

“We try to reach the hotel market and we would like to get one of the tourist-oriented organisations to come and help us to push this and make it even bigger and better,” he said.

He was speaking to the DAILY NATION on Saturday at the church where the event has been held for the last 15 years. (TG)
