THE HEART AND STROKE Foundation of Barbados is now better equipped to respond to cardiac emergencies.

This morning Chinese Ambassador Wang Ke presented two automated external defibrillators to new chief executive officer of the Foundation Fiona Anthony. They will be used in the Cardiac Care Programme to train people in their use.

Speaking after the handing over of the two compact machines, Wang Ke commended the Foundation for doing a “meaningful” and “worthwhile” job, and she said she hoped the machines would not only assist in training but that they would help the general public. (YB)
