KRAIGG BRATHWAITE isn’t regarded as the typical one-day batsman, but the Barbados Pride opener has the self-belief to get the job done.
The 24-year-old Brathwaite carved out a maiden limited-overs century on Tuesday, batting solidly for 101 off 146 balls that played a part in the home team starting their WICB Super50 campaign with a crushing 145-run victory over Guyana Jaguars at Kensington Oval.
“At the end of the day, I know my game. It is just about going out there and executing the job for the team,” Brathwaite said after his Man Of The Match performance.
“This win will give the team a lot of confidence. To win the first game is a plus. We just want to keep the momentum from here.” (HG)
