Zane for karting meet in Italy

BARBADIAN Zane Maloney will line up among champions and young promising international drivers in the season-opening karting event at the Adria Karting Raceway in Italy this weekend.

The 13-year-old Barbadian kart driver, in the company of his mother Natalie, completed his first testing assignment last weekend.

He will now face the starter in the World Series of Karting (WSK) Champions Cup in the northern Italian facility.

WSK Promotion said 250 drivers are in the provisional entry list for the opening event single-round event, but figures are impressive in all the four categories admitted to the race, beginning with the 60 Mini with 106 entrants. (TT)
