A CHRIST CHURCH woman is baffled as to how a fall at work has left her not only in pain, but also jobless.

Kathy Wiggins said she was trying to figure out why she was fired from her job as a cashier and kitchen assistant at The Sultan Restaurant, while on sick leave as a result of a fall at the Sheraton Centre eatery late last year.

In an interview with the WEEKEND NATION from her home in Scarborough, Wiggins pointed to her swollen left ankle, which she said had sustained soft tissue damage during the fall on Christmas Eve, 2016.

However, the mother of five contended that after receiving advice from her doctor to extend her sick leave from one week to three weeks, she was fired from the job she held for just over a year. (RB)
