MUSIC WAS A major part of his life and as such, it featured prominently at the celebration of the life of Adrian “Boo” Husbands today.
From the procession, which started at Passage Road and ended at New Dimensions Ministries, to the various tributes during the service and when the brown casket adorned with musical notes was placed in the hearse, music played. It was a must.
Boo was known to bring people together in life, and it was the same with his passing.
Mourners spanned political divides, included the rich and the poor, past and present students of Harrison College, entertainers and people involved in the arts. Former colleagues at Barclays Bank and people from his beloved St Joseph all packed the church to pay their final respects to “Boo” and lend support to his wife Anthea and son Kyle Walkes.
His earthly musical pursuits ended on January 19 after a brief illness. He was 54. (YB)
