Red’s reign at Grantley Prescod Memorial has come to an end, as Yellow house finally won the school’s sports day at the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic playing field in the Pine on Friday.

With victor ludorum Kiko Wade leading the charge, Yellow amassed 651.5 points to finish top of the table and end Red’s streak of successive championships.

Red settled for second with 595 points while Green and Blue ended with 546 and 509.5 points, respectively.

Wade tallied a meet-best 57 points in the Under-13 boys’ division, winning the long jump, 200 and 400 metres after placing second in the 100 and 800 metres.

Victrix ludorum Jalicia Harper of Red triumphed in the 100, 200, 400 and long jump in the Under-13 girls’ division. (JM)
