Fraud accused remanded again

THE TWO VISITORS charged with a number of fraud-related offences were again remanded to prison when the appeared in court today.

Twenty-eight-year-old Romanian Constantin Ursu and 31-year-old Romanian/Jamaican   Andre Harvey were arrested by members of the Fraud Squad on January 25.

They were allegedly found in possession of a large quantity of cash and ATM Cards by police.

Ursu was charged with one count of money laundering, while Harvey was charged with two counts of money laundering and going equipped for criminal deception.

They first appeared in court on January 28.

They reappeared before Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch in the District “C” Magistrates’ Court and were further remanded until February 6. (PR/NB)
