THE GROWING NUMBERS of tattooed schoolchildren are worrying school counsellors and the national parent-teacher association.
They are encouraging parents to be more vigilant about their children’s dress and conduct at school.
Head of Barbados Association of Guidance Counsellors, Saul Leacock, told the DAILY NATION yesterday there was a trend among some teenagers attending school to have visible tattoos and multiple piercings.
Leacock said that within recent months the issue had become more widespread, with students as young as 14 inking themselves, some without the knowledge of their parents. (TSG)
