PROMINENT BUSINESSWOMAN Asha “Mrs Ram” Mirchandani is planning for the arrival of her new high-rise neighbour on Bay Street, The City.

The owner of several Bridgetown businesses says she plans to take full advantage of opportunities the Hyatt Hotel would present for her business located next door.

Mirchandani, who has been a mainstay in the capital for several decades, was convinced the advent of Hyatt, which has been mired in controversy, would mean an improvement in the fortunes of other Bridgetown businesses.

“I think it is a welcome move. It is good for the Barbadian people, it is good for the country,” she told the WEEKEND NATION. (GC)
