DR ADRIAN LORDE can’t quite believe it.
The chairman of the Caribbean Regional Anti-Doping Organisation has been left scratching his head, wondering how a prominent sportsman like Andre Russell could fail to give his whereabouts and miss three drug tests.
Lorde’s comments come just days after the star West Indies all-rounder was hit with a 12-month ban by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission for the violation.
“I am surprised that this has happened. I know this happens to smaller-named athletes because they fail to do it [give their whereabouts], but someone at his level should have a management team which would do such things for him . . . , so I am very surprised this happened,” Lorde said. (JM)
