IVOR WORRELL will not be challenging for the post of president of the Barbados Amateur Bodybuilding Federation following the announcement that Dr Andrew Forde will not be seeking re-election.

But he wants to be involved and has a few suggestions to take the sport forward.

“I hope to be part of the team that would be elected to run office, maybe somewhere down the road [the top position] is a possibility. A former president by the name of Manasseh King is earmarked, and we are supporting him to take the reins from Dr Forde,” Worrell said.

“He has been in the chair before, he has had his issues before, but he has learnt from them and is willing to come back and lend a hand, with our support,” he told WEEKENDSPORT. (RA)
