BIG-HITTER CARLOS BRATHWAITE has done it again but in a different way.
The powerfully built right-hander rediscovered how to win a match with a six to give Barbados Pride a thrilling two-wicket victory over Guyana Jaguars with three balls to spare in their WICB Regional Super50 One-Day cricket match at the 3Ws Oval, yesterday.
With Barbados Pride needing six runs off the last over to defeat Guyana Jaguars, the West Indies’ World Twenty20 hero with four consecutive sixes off England’s Ben Stokes, smashed left-arm seamer Raymon Reifer over long-off to bring a climax to their topsy-turvy low-scoring encounter. Â
It ended in a sweaty afternoon exercise instead of an easy Sunday stroll for the Barbados Pride cricketers, who finished on 188 for eight in 49.3 overs after dismissing Guyana Jaguars for a modest 186 in their 50 overs.
